Shepley’s recent sculpture, drawings and woodblock print series explore the themes of relocation and resettlement as a universal, physical, and personal part of human history and experience.
Her work references the winds and tides of human attachment and energy, by turns, dispersing, settling and accumulating as they are layered and pieced together by time.
She is inspired by the process of working with materials in a way that reveals their inherent fragility and strength to meld story, structure and space.
Upcoming solo exhibit: Boston Sculptors Gallery, May 8 – June 9, 2019 with a reception on May 11 from 3-5pm, www.bostonsculptors.com
